Abortion: Ohio's Pre-eminent Moral and Political Issue

In recent years, science has proven beyond doubt that life begins at fertilization. We know that the preborn human within the womb is a living person.
It follows that the preborn person is endowed by the Creator with the same right to life with which every other class of people is endowed. Thus abortion is the unjust taking of an innocent human life. It's murder! It's homicide! And in America, from 1973 to today it has been nothing less than genocide - the systematic extermination of a particular class of people, in this case, unwanted preborn babies.
The primary purpose of government is to prevent the shedding of innocent blood. Therefore, it is the duty of all civil governments to secure and to safeguard the lives of the preborn. No one should be allowed to kill a preborn baby any more than he or she should be allowed to kill any other class of human being.
Human beings should not be treated as property which may be disposed of at will. The Bible, in Proverbs 31:8, teaches "Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." We have a responsibility before God to put an end to this bloody slaughter within our jurisdiction!
True pro-life Ohioans must do what it takes to stop abortion in this state. We must commit to only support candidates who are 100% committed to protecting innocent human life without exception and call to repentance those who support this wicked carnage.
Abortion is the preeminent moral and political issue of our day. We must not ignore it! The killing must stop!
